White Raven

Year 2013. Mykola (35) is an eccentric pacifist who wants to be useful to humanity. He is conducting an environmental experiment - he lives with his pregnant wife Nastya (23) in his own dug Nora (eco-dugout) on two hectares of his own land near Horlivka (Donetsk region). Mykola teaches mathematics at Horlivka Vocational School, where he deals with difficult teenage students.

The war begins in the Donbass. Mykola's naive world is collapsing, he feels powerless in the face of imminent threat - the militants kill his pregnant wife and burn his dug to the ground. He finds no excuse for this cruelty. After recovering, he makes a cardinal decision and gets enlisted in a sniper company, where he successfully completes tasks with instructor Cap (50). When he meets his wife's killers, he emotionally breaks down and arranges "sniper terror" for the enemy. Cap saves Mykola from a senseless death, but he himself gets mortally wounded. The death of a friend leaves a "scar" and Mykola is ready to sacrifice his life. Months pass… a volunteer sniper becomes a bold pro. Mykola doesn't want to kill, but he still does this “dark” job, because he realizes that he is clearing his land of those who came to kill.

During another mission in the village of Pivdenne near Horlivka, Mykola successfully eliminates an enemy sniper… Without a doubt, but with a calm heart he goes to war again. To Donbas. Again to where he is most needed now…
